Ephesians 3:7
Pastor Wanda
One of North Carolina and Virginia’s emerging and practical Christian leaders, Wanda Carter, has miraculously coached record numbers of area women to find hope and restoration. A strategic counselor, she passionately teaches and advocates with a structured focus on Christian values.
Academically, Wanda is a graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Interpreting for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Wanda has also completed a Master of Science in Organizational Development from Abilene Christian University. She is a graduate of Duke University’s Certificate of Nonprofit Management Program, which attests to her ability to bring awareness to issues that need change.
She began in ministry in 1996 and was initially licensed and ordained through the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association in 1998. A catechized Elder by New Vision Worldwide Fellowship of Churches, Kansas City, Missouri, and current Pastor of Greater Faith Non-Denominational Church, Ahoskie, NC (Founded by her father, Elder Elton Hall, Jr.), Pastor Carter embodies the standards, principles and carries ‘the fire’ necessary to bring to light issues in ministry and communities that others are fearful or too weary to address, offering the solution of life in Christ Jesus.
Wanda has discovered the freedom to live victoriously through grace in Christ Jesus and in turn, desires to help others do the same. She best does this in her authorship of two books, “Better: The Journey from Wounded to Willing to Better” (2017) and “Thoughts from a Better Woman” (2019). Married to her friend and partner in ministry, Ronald Carter, Pastor Carter continues to be a phenomenal testimony of the dynamic, redeeming work of Jesus Christ. Nothing renders her prouder than the favor that God has extended her to positively impact family relationships by providing Pastoral counseling and spiritual direction.
Pastor Ron
Employees are trained while visionary leaders are born, and refined only by opportunity and challenge. Ronald Carter is without a doubt, a visionary leader, who uses Godly sound judgment, initiative and creativity to usher others into their God-defined potential. He is a spiritual change agent and allows God to use him to connect with others, helping them to grow in their relationship with Him.
He is the fifth of eight children born to Thomas David and Katie Carter in Lester, West Virginia. Academically, Ronald is a graduate of Strayer University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Human Resources Management. He has also completed a Master of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University. He recently retired as a senior Human Resources Manager for the Department of Defense.
He was ordained as a deacon by the late Pastor Elton Hall, Jr. at the Greater Faith Nondenominational Church, Ahoskie, NC. In 2020, he began the process of studying for the office of an Elder. With much prayer, support, and mentorship from his wife, Pastor Wanda Carter, and Covenant Apostle Lewis Fisher, Jr., he completed his Eldership training in October 2022. Elder Carter is excited to share the Pastorate and serve God’s people with his wife of eight years, where he will continue to assist in promoting a Kingdom agenda within the local church and community. He particularly supports outreach programs and provides a moral and spiritual frame of reference when leading and guiding the men’s ministry of Greater Faith.
Elder Carter understands the value of a restored life and the truth and validity of grace and mercy found in Christ Jesus. He desires to help others to better understand this gift by using every opportunity possible to win souls to Christ.
